With an extensive résumé, Eduardo Ragasol is announced as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Neogrid – (www.neogrid.com.br), a company specialized in automatic synchronization of the supply chain. The Mexican executive, who has already worked for large companies such as Mercer Human Resources Consulting / Marsh McLenan Companies and Nielsen (Brazil, Mexico and Latam), arrives at the company with the mission of accelerating internationalization and generating even more value for Neogrid customers by launching, in the first half of the year, Demand Driven Replenishment (DDR), a new solution that optimizes the replenishment of inventories based on actual consumer demand.
According to the executive, Neogrid’s focus in 2020 will be to provide faster responses to customers, thus, increasing the efficiency of supply chain monitoring, directly impacting the retailer’s cash flow and manufacturer sales. “Our goal is to make manufacturers and retailers even more efficient in controlling inventory and, in a smarter way, achieve greater profitability using cutting-edge technology,” he comments.
Therefore, the new solution will work with an AI-based algorithm that considers actual consumer demand and that informs the retailer of the out-of-stock costs, as well as the cost of having excess inventory. “We monitor the market daily; terabytes of data are processed and the idea is to use all of this information to help our customer efficiently assess what happens in their company. In turn, with greater control, this customer will deliver to consumers what they need on time, without shortages and without excesses,” explains Ragasol.
Regarding the internationalization of Neogrid’s business, the goal for this year is to increase the company’s presence in Mexico, United States, and some key countries in Europe. “We are already successfully working with some customers in Mexico, which we attracted in 2019, and we are going to expand this outlook,” he announces.
When it comes to the Brazilian economy, the executive is confident in the future. Ragasol believes that 2020 will be a better year, focused on recovery, as economic measures should begin to produce the expected results. “Hence, it is even more important for us to increase support and efficiency for our customers, because only then will they be prepared to offer the best to consumers who will shop again,” comments the executive.
Within the organization chart, Ragasol becomes the company’s second most important executive, right under the founder and CEO Miguel Abuhab.
