In a year where working from home became a popular expression due to the pandemic, seals and certifications that highlight the work of Human Resources and quality of life of employees in companies gain even more importance. This month, Neogrid (www.neogrid.com.br), a company specialized in supply chain synchronization, received an important certificate, the Great Place To Work seal.
The certification is the entry ticket to the contest for a place in the ranking promoted by the consultancy Great Place To Work, which each year chooses the best companies to work for, rewarding organizations at national, regional, sectoral (as the list of the best in the IT sector) and subject levels (such as the list of the Best Companies for Women).
According to Ariane Espindola, Head of People and Management at Neogrid, 2020 will be remembered as a challenging year, but also a year of many gains and positive changes that were driven by the quarantine, and we can highlight the flexibility of the work model as one of them.
“We managed to reach a zone of excellence with the certification. The way the team feels they are being taken care was one of the most expressive grades we achieved in the survey. This is very gratifying, as our concern has always been with our employees. When, in March, everything changed and we had to move immediately to a working from home system, we were extremely concerned with how people would feel in this model. We set up a committee that met every morning and late in the afternoon to discuss how the day had been and what we could do to improve and that was incredibly positive”, says Ariane Espindola.
Today, Neogrid has adopted a greater level of freedom in a hybrid model that we will maintain even after the pandemic. The offices in Porto Alegre (RS), Joinville (SC) and São Paulo (SP) are open; however, the direction is always to prioritize the health of employees and their families and follow the rules of each city. Teams were also given the flexibility to choose how and where to work (remotely or on-site) according to their needs.
“With the flexibility and this hybrid model that focuses on results and our relationship of trust with employees, now we can also open up the range and look for talents that were previously inaccessible across geographical borders. Today, all of our vacancies are available for remote work”, explains Ariane.
Furthermore, Neogrid is working on a set of projects called “4 years in 1”, which aims to migrate solutions to a “Cloud Native” environment, using the latest front-end and back-end development technologies, which will expand opportunities in the company. “This program will provide more vacancies focused on technology, expanding our scope for hiring”, explains the executive.
Ariane also adds that the endorsement that the Great Place To Work certification brings is an indication that the company is on the right path with regard to creating an increasingly humanized, welcoming and inclusive work environment.
